In Years 10-11 students work at achieving the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE). This qualification is the most popular international certificate worldwide for this age group and is administered by the University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE).
Students are able to choose from a number of subject areas, which might include Languages, Humanities, Sciences, Mathematics, and the Arts. The program caters for the different ability levels of students by offering core and extended ability levels in most subjects. Students are supported by IST subject teachers and assessed on an ongoing basis, culminating in a final exam.
